Operating in a regulated medical device environment, MindMaze Therapeutics is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technology that supports neurological recovery and treatment.As the company continues to grow and expand its specialized activities, we are looking for a dedicated UX/UI Designer to join our Cluj office in order to support the design and research needs across MindMaze Therapeutics’ product portfolio.The UX/UI Designer will work closely with other designers, product managers, and engineers across multiple digital healthcare solutions to bring features from early concept through to tested, polished experiences. The UX/UI Designer ensures that patients, clinicians, and caregivers experience products that are both intuitive and effective in supporting care.ResponsibilitiesDrives end to end design for features across MindMaze products, from problem framing to wireframes, flows, and prototypes finalized for implementation.Conducts and interprets user research, incorporating clinical and patient perspectives into design direction.Presents research findings to cross functional stakeholders.Partners with product managers and engineers across the Product Development team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented as intended.Advocates for usability and accessibility across products, and defends design decisions with clear rationale, while remaining open to feedback and alternative approaches.Contributes to and helps maintain design systems, ensuring consistency across screens, features, and products.Contributes visual design support within the established design system, as needed.Design visually consistent user interfaces across digital solutions, translating product requirements into polished, user-centered designs.Writes and refines UX microcopy that is clear, accessible, and appropriate for the target user base.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of professional experience designing digital products.Proficiency in Figma (with design system usage), plus familiarity with other design and user testing tools.Strong portfolio demonstrating clear, consistent design work and problem-solving.Experience conducting user research (interviews, usability testing) and synthesizing findings independently.Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with engineers.Fluent English is required, both written and verbal, as work outputs and cross functional collaboration happen in English.Experience designing for accessibility, or a clear understanding of why accessibility matters for elderly or vulnerable users.Familiarity with healthcare, medtech or other regulated industries is an advantage.UI and visual design skills, in order to execute on an established design system and produce illustrations when needed.Key CompetenciesStrong foundation in UX principles, including usability, accessibility and interaction design.User centered mindset, with genuine attentiveness to the needs of vulnerable or elderly users.Reliable and thorough, consistently delivering polished, error-free work.Good research instincts, with the discipline to turn findings into clear, well-reasoned design decisions.Collaborative, comfortable working closely with partners across multiple product lines.Sound judgment on when to work independently and when to involve others in key decisions.Adaptability when priorities shift, given the fast paced nature of product development.Clear communicator, able to explain design rationale in a way that lands with technical and non-technical audiences alike.
