Contract Duration
This is a 2-month fixed-term contract (full-time), ideally from March 15th to May 15th, 2026.
Start date is flexible within a short range.
This is a project-based position focused on the production of a 250-page premium print book.
Project Overview
We are producing a 250-page premium book/magazine dedicated to French Châteaux (working title: Renaissance).
The publication includes:

• Editorial storytelling
• High-end photography
• Structured directories (Châteaux & Heritage Artisans)
• Advertising pages
• Complex editorial layouts

This is a serious print project with high quality standards.
Language Versions
The book will be produced in two language versions: English and French, using the same layout structure.
The designer will be responsible for adapting the finalized layout to both versions (text replacement and layout adjustments where necessary).
Fluency in French is not required, but professional working proficiency in English is mandatory.
Responsibilities

• Develop the layout system and creative direction
• Create master templates for different sections
• Design complex structured pages (including directory layouts)
• Execute Data Merge automation in InDesign
• Prepare final print-ready files
• Coordinate with the printing house if necessary
• Ensure technical quality control until final delivery

Additional Occasional Tasks
In addition to the main editorial project, some occasional design tasks may be required, such as:

• Web design elements (landing pages, layout mockups)
• Social media visuals
• Advertising creatives (Meta / Google Ads)
• Promotional materials related to the book launch

These tasks will remain secondary to the main book production.
This initial 2-month contract may evolve into a long-term collaboration or permanent position for the right candidate, based on performance and project development.
