Quality & Food Safety Manager

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead Quality, Food Safety and Sustainability within our food production facility. This role is essential in ensuring full compliance with internal standards, customer expectations, and international certifications.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop the Quality team.
• Promote and develop a strong Quality culture throughout the factory alongside peers.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Technical, Logistics, HR and Supply Chain departments - both on a operational and strategic basis.
• Collaborate and contribute to Regional Quality + Food Safety Community, including internal audits and standards development.
• Implement, maintain and continually improve certification schemes/programmes such IFS, ISO 22000, Halal, RSPO and Fairtrade.
• Maintain and develop food safety and quality management systems.
• Monitor product and process quality across all production stages.
• Routinely report on functional KPI's, action plans and horizon scanning.
• Lead internal and external audits (certification bodies, customers, authorities).
• Investigate non-conformities, oversee corrective/preventive actions and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Ensure traceability, documentation accuracy,
• Effective customer and consumer complaint management.
• Budget and contract management for the department.
• Ensure compliance with national legislation and company policies.
• Risk identification and implementation of prevention measures.
• Provide regular training and awareness sessions for employees on quality and food safety.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in similar roles in the food industry.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP, IFS, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 standards.
• University degree in Food Engineering, Production, Chemistry.
• Experience with audits, certification processes, and work with authorities.
• Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
