We are “GDELS” - a Europe based business unit of General Dynamics Corporation, with products range from wheeled armored and tracked combat vehicles to amphibious bridges and ferry systems, with people all around the world relying on these systems and services, and we welcome you as Production Supervisor Vehicle Assembly, located in Bucharest!
To perform daily tasks, it is important that:
* you are able to identify specific problems and propose solutions
* you are able to follow the standards and regulations
* you take feedback into account and work with other people in order to get the results
* you have an Engineering University degree in manufacturing vehicles / machines / automation
* you know English C Level, German is a plus
* you work with operating computer programs such as SAP, MS Office and any other software that is standard within the industry
* you have a driving license category B and preferable also C
There is a great advantage if:
* you have minimum 5+ years' experience in automotive industry leading a team (planning daily activities, giving instructions to employees, controlling execution, insure that defined standards are achieved and required controls are performed, solve or escalating problems)
* you have at least 10 years of professional experience in the areas of operations or maintenance in a project environment
* you have skills in reading drawings and technical instructions (understand how to implement) and broad knowledge of mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, electric- and vehicle diagnostics
* you have experience with Project and Change Management according to IATF 16949 and their implementation in the series production
Here are your most important tasks, among others:
1/ Leading and development of the Production Team Leaders in the vehicle assembly line
2/ Ensure all relevant qualifications and skills in the department including their representation
3/ Definition, ongoing adaption, and compliance of department procedures
4/ Further innovation in responsibility and alignment of daily operations with current trends and state of the art methods
5/ Act as primary point of contact for production team leaders, logistic manager, and head of production
6/ Assure uninterrupted material supply to the assembly line, troubleshooting, continues improvements and on-time handover of the end product to the customer
7/ Ensures that EHS regulations and PPE are respected on site
8/ Ensures compliance and achievement of the defined KPIs
