Swiss Software Company is seeking several passionate and skilled Technical Consultants for Data Migration to join our dynamic team in Sibiu, Romania. About the Role

We handle a substantial volume of critical business and enterprise data. Our customers expect their data to be accurate and safe during the on-boarding process and while operating on a cloud platform. To maintain our high standards and enhance our data operations, we are looking to hire several Technical Consultants to work in our Data Migration Team.

As a Technical Consultant in the Data Migration Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and consistent on-boarding of our customers' data from legacy platforms. You will work directly with clients to ensure data migration deliverables are met, providing updates on progress and ensuring project schedules are on track.

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of customer data migration plans with precision and expertise.
• Collaborate with clients on business process discovery to understand their needs and identify areas where we can solve business problems to support Data Migration.
• Analyze clients' data and prepare comprehensive Data Analysis Reports to guide the migration process.
• Develop migration scripts from target databases to upgraded schema, ensuring seamless data transitions.
• Execute Quality Assurance tests and checks on Data Migration scripts to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain open lines of communication with customers to understand and resolve any issues that may arise during the migration process.
• Ensure that all Project Data Migration activities are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget, exceeding client expectations.

About You

You will be focused on delivering high-quality outputs, be flexible and adaptive to the needs of the business, and have the ability to work based on project plan and manage your time effectively. You will possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science/CIT/Cybernetics or equivalent work experience.

Skills/Experience

• Strong SQL skills including stored procedures.
• Experience of using SQL and working with varied data formats (XML, CSV, MS SQL, Excel, MySQL, Postgres, etc.).
• Several years of handling complex technical problems and finding meaningful solutions
• Experience of working directly with customers to gather requirements or support UAT.
• Resilience to handle failures and transform them into success stories
• Experience of contributing to process improvements.
• English fluent

Desirable

• Experience with complex data migration from legacy systems to SaaS, including SAP (SAP Tables) and other well-known ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Business Analysis or Requirements Gathering techniques.
• German language skills

Technical skills

• Database Skills: Familiarity with Azure - MS SQL
• Webserver/Apache Tomcat: Knowledge of Java and web services architecture would be advantageous
• Container Technologies: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker / Podman
• Infrastructure: Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Azure Resource Manager
• Scripting: Proficiency in Powershell, Bash scripts, Python
• Optional: Certification as an Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Network: Understanding of TCP/IP, VPC, Firewall, and Load balancer
• OS: Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
